Alsek Air Service, Inc. is a family-owned business. A cow moose and her two calves cross a stream on the Malaspina Forelands, northwest of Yakutat. Brown bears are a common sight in the Yakutat area.

Balk Eagles are common in the rain forests near Yakutat.  A view of Akwe Lake and Chamberlain Glacier from beneath the winf of Alsek Air's Cessna 206. The Brabizon Mountains near Yakutat are lush and green during the summer months.

The East Alsek River, as seen from Alsek Air's Cessna 206. Gateway Knob and Alsek Lake, Glacier Bay National Park. Hubbard Glacier begins near Mt. Logan in Canada and extends 76 miles through the mountains.

Hubbbard Glacier's face is immense - nearly six miles wide and over 26 stories tall. Mt. Fairweather, at 15,300 ft. in height, is a popular climbing destination. We can take you there! Mt. St. Elias, at 18,008 feet tall, is the second tallest mountain in the United States.

80 miles away, Mt. St. Elias dominates the horizon northwest of Yakutat. Tanis Lake and Tanis Glacier, in Tongass National Forest.

Alaska Air serves Yakutat daily from Anchorage, Juneau, and Seattle. The cannons at aptly-named Cannon Beach are but one reminder of Yakutat's rich World War II history. Most of the small community of Yakutat is nestled along the shores of Monti Bay.

Yakutat's boat harbor is the stating point for some of the best halibut fishing in southeast Alaska. Sport fishing is a popular activity in Yakutat.  Some fishing tends to be better on overcast days. Alsek Air makes another smooth landing at Yakutat Airport.
