The Russell
Fjord Tour
The Russell Fjord Tour takes you
from Yakutat up the Situk River into
the southern end of Russell Fjord.
From there, you will fly up the
fiord through lush green mountains
to the largest tidewater glacier in
North America, the Hubbard Glacier.
You then travel south over

The Grand
Russell Fjord Tour
The Grand Russell Fjord Tour takes
you over the Yakutat forelands,
where bear and moose are commonly
seen, to
Harlequin Lake. At the head of
Harlequin Lake is the Yakutat
Glacier, which has the widest face
of any lake-calving glacier in North
America.
You will then fly over the Novatak
and Nunatak Glaciers into the
Nunatak Fjord where you will have an
excellent chance to see mountain
goats. From here, you'll fly over
the Orange Glacier to the Hubbard
Glacier. Turner and Valerie Glaciers
are also visible from this point,
along with numerous well known
mountains in Wrangell-St. Elias
National Park. The St. Elias
Mountain Range is the highest
coastal mountain range in the world
- we guarantee that you've never
seen anything like it. |
